The Description

With these funds I will...Purchase Arduino kits and supplies to teach my students advanced coding.

Every year, we do Day of Code with cups, and now with tablets.  I have wanted to go farther, and do more advanced coding with Arduinos, but we don't have the budget.

We are in a small K-8 school in a high poverty District.  We don't have a large budget for supplies so I have to be creative.  My students enjoy hands-on activities, and are more engaged, and learn more from them than traditional learning.  Coding with cups to tablets to Arduinos is a natural progression from easy to high tech., and it the perfect transition to expose students to advancing levels of technology.

Even though this project will only reach 66 students this year, many of the supplies are reusable, and so many future classes will benefit, too.
