The Description

The goal of Art-Promise programs is to encourage healthy, positive life choices through the study and creation of art. To achieve this goal, Art-Promise workshops are designed to develop self-confidence, team-building skills, and creative thinking.

Your support improves the lives of hundreds of teenagers at-risk in the greater Houston area who are either enrolled in middle schools for students who are 2 or more grades behind or who are incarcerated at a local juvenile detention center.

Studies have shown that participation in the arts discourages youth from engaging in criminal activity; furthermore, teens involved in art programs are more likely to stay in school and graduate high school. You can help them break the cycle of academic failure and delinquent behavior!

Back Up Plan

All funds are used to bring professional teaching artists to local juvenile detention centers and schools for at-risk youth.
