Education Opens Doors' mission is to empower students to purposefully navigate through high school to college. To date, we have empowered nearly 9,000 students with the Roadmap to Success Program, and captured significant gains in college knowledge as well as increases in students' hope for their future. Students across our area are experiencing the life-changing benefits of the program. In the words of one 8th grade student: “I always heard I should go to college, but don’t know people who have gone. Now I know what college is and how to get there. Jayda Batchelder
Executive Director
As an award-winning middle school teacher, Jayda Batchelder saw firsthand that content mastery alone was not adequately preparing her students for high school success. She is now the Founding Executive Director of Education Opens Doors, a grassroots nonprofit that partners with schools across North Texas to empower students to purposefully navigate through high school to college using their manual, Roadmap to Success, and an aligned program.
