With these funds we will be able to help revitalize and improve the appearance our SPARK Park. The funds will assist us to cover the concrete benches with ceramic tiles which students in 4th and 5th grade will decorate in their art class with Ms. Rickman in collaboration with local artist, Reginald Adams. Ms. Rickman and our 4th and 5th grade students will decorate ceramic 6" x 6" custom tiles to help cover the current concrete benches. After the students have created the tiles, Mr. Adams will use them as insets along the concrete benches and add a 1" by 1" glass border at the top and bottom of the tiles. 

Mr. Adams will also paint a circular labyrinth design on the  133 square foot round concrete area using asphalt paint. An associate of his will cover the exterior concrete posts with a glass mosaic.

This will help transform drab concrete and asphalt into a colorful and inviting place for Helms students to play and for Heights residents to enjoy in the evenings and weekends.

Additional funding has been secured to help replace the picnic tables in the area as well from other sources.
