The Carver Model United Nations Junior delegates will be attending their first conference on January 6th - January 8th, 2016! The MUNSA XIX -Fusion conference will be held at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. MUNSA XIX is being hosted by the International School of the Americas, a public magnet school in the North East Independent School District. All fees fundraised at the conference will be donated to Ceres, "which is a non-profit organization committed to promoting the presence of a global economy in less developed countries." IDEA Carver College Prep's 16 junior delegates will be among the 1600 delegates participating in this conference.  This conference will be the first time my students will be speaking publicly. We have been training since August for this conference and have raised $434.07 from school events since that time. Unfortunately, my students and their families cannot afford these fees alone.  98% of IDEA Carver students receive free and reduced lunch and students must fundraise to be able to attend college visits, field trips and conferences. Please help my 9th grade students raise $4,000 to cover all the fees of this conference and anything remaining will be used for future MUN events and supplies.

• Lodging Fees (at El Tropicano Hotel in San Antonio, TX) :
  - $238.17 / room for 6 rooms, 2 nights  = $1429.02 
  
  
• Student Costs: (Per Student, for a total of 16 students.)
  - $50.00 / per student - Dinner and recreational activities 
  - $15.00 / per student - conference shirt (Fundraised money is being donated to Opportunity International.) 
  - $30.00 / per student - MUN polo shirt and hoodie
  - $45.00 / per student - MUN Backpack 
  - $12.00 / per student - Model UN Lapel Pin, Model UN Lanyard and country pin
