Creating Community for Virtual Calculus

The Description

With these funds I will be delivering care packages & fun school supplies to every student in my wonderful group of 10 Calculus students. I'm hoping to make shirts, deliver brownies, include graphing paper, nice notebooks, & school supplies to their homes. This group of incredible, smart, strong, terrific seniors deserved the best senior year experience, but due to the pandemic they are missing out on a lot. Despite these disappointments, they remain the most positive, resilient, hard-working group of young, mathematically talented ladies I have ever encountered in my life. Please help me show them how special they are and make their spring semester a little extra special by sponsoring this project!

If we do not reach our goal I will purchase the materials using my own funds.

About the Creator

I am excited to be a part of the TFA family and join the movement to solve education inequity in this country and provide all students with a quality education. I'm fortunate enough to be selected from a nationwide talent applicant pool to join a teacher corps comprised of leaders who commit a minimum of two years to teach in high need public schools. This summer I will be participating in an intensive skill and knowledge development program aiming to increase student achievement as well as a comprehensive professional development program including seminars, discussion groups, workshops, and content and professional learning communities specific to teaching license areas. I can't wait for my first year with Teach for America.
