Your generous gifts will support the 7th and 8th Grade students of Immanuel Lutheran School (Brandon, Florida) attending their trip to Washington, D.C. and the surrounding area from April 27 - May 4, 2019. 

The students have been studying early American History and U.S. Civics and Government, but the opportunity to step foot in and explore "the room where it happened" will make those classroom lessons come alive. My hope is that my students will be inspired and encouraged to go on to be active citizens, engaged in the betterment of their communities.

Our travel schedule is very ambitious! We will be visiting:

• Colonial Williamsburg
• Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson
• Mount Vernon, home of George Washington
• Smithsonian Museums
• The White House
• U.S. Capitol
• U.S. Supreme Court
• the National Archives
• The Pentagon
• Ford's Theater, site on Lincoln's assassination
• Lincoln, Jefferson, MLK, FDR, WWII, Iwo Jima, Vietnam, Korea Memorials
• Arlington National Cemetery
• Gettysburg, PA battlefield

The cost per student is $875:

• Transportation (motorcoach) = $300
• Lodging = $300
• Tour Fees = $100
• Meals = $175

The cost of the trip does present a financial strain for many families. Your generosity and support can lessen the burden and make it possible for all students to attend.
