Science National Honor Society - Community Impact
Verified Non-Profit
$4,300
$7,217 goal
The Description
The Theodore Roosevelt High School Science National Honor Society (SNHS) is raising money to purchase materials and supplies to enrich the lives of up-and-coming scientists by creating opportunities for students of all ages to participate in a wide range of scientific exploration. These funds also help offset costs for entry fees, transportation, food, and lodging for competitions. As members of SNHS we:
- visit elementary school Science Nights with innovative displays that encourage student interaction,
- host a Science Fair encouraging student participation, and scientific inquiry,
- create cutting-edge projects for the district the STEAM Carnival,
- engage in community service endeavors, and
- participate in academic and scientific competitions.
Back Up Plan
If we do not reach our goal we will have to forego several community activities, pay for building materials for projects used in community outreach events, competition entry fees, as well as transportation, food, and lodging expenses out-of-pocket.
