The Description

With these funds I will...purchase supplies to make interactive notebooks for my classroom.

Do you remember what it was like to take notes in a boring lined notebook? Well not in my class. We make ours colorful and fun.

My students come from a Title One school. This means about 70% receive free or reduced rate lunch. Roughly half attend a magnet program and are expected to maintain high grades to stay in the program. Our school is very diverse, having students from over 30 different countries.

My students will use the markers, pens, specialty paper, borders, and colored paper to make their interactive notebooks exciting. All students are required to keep a notebook and if it becomes a piece of art they want to make one. It gives them the opportunity to be creative on a daily basis. They will use the tape to tape art projects and the colored pens will be used to make their notes stand out. They will also use the multi-colored gel pens to highlight key information in their notes. We will use everyday objects to tape into our notebooks and we will then use our own creativity to make our notebooks original.

My project will make a difference because if my students have amazing notebooks they will use them. Most students take notes and never go back and view them. With a fun notebook they want to look at their notes and add to it.

If I do not meet my goal I will purchase...less items.
