Sensory and Learning Activities

The Description

With these funds I will purchase sensory items for my classroom. My students have Autism and thrive off of sensory activities. We currently have very few small items in our classroom. I would love the opportunity to purchase play-doh, theraputty, materials for sensory bottles, bubbles, and so much more. When students have Autism, it can be difficult for them to regulate their bodies. With these items, my students will be able to regulate their bodies and be in a state where they are ready to learn.

If we do not reach our goal I will purchase as many terrific sensory items as possible. Every little bit helps.

Hi all! I'm Brooke and this is my fellow teacher, Vicki. We're elementary special education teachers. We both have kids with varying levels of ability but both have kids with high sensory needs. We're creating this page to enlist your help in purchasing all kinds of sensory items that will help our kids be successful throughout the school day. From yoga balls to calm down timers to a sensory table. All these things will aide in our students being able to regulate their bodies and emotions. So, off we go!
