Blow Their Minds with Mindstorms!

The Description

With these funds I will purchase a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot kit for my students to solve real world problems.  Not only would my 7th grade special education students benefit from using a robot to find a solution to "child labor" and "peer pressure" (workshop in their curriculum), but they can move from struggling readers in our pull-out class to the leader of a project in the co-taught classes.  I will share this awesome product with my 7th grade team members, as well as my colleagues at the school.  If we are able to raise enough for two kits, I will house them in our library for all students to experience!

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal I will purchase legos to create a maker space in my classroom that will allow students to build anything they can imagine!

Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for your contribution to the "Blow Their Minds with Mindstorms" fundraiser!  Unfortunately, we did not raise enough to buy the LEGO Mindstorms set.  However, we did receive a little over $33 (only less than $2 was kept by PlegeCents!) to fund some gadgets for a Makerspace.  I am working with our librarian, Mrs. Magro, to see how best to spend these funds.  Thanks so much again!
