With these funds I will...create a classroom that includes more flexible seating for my students. Some of the benefits of flexible seating and a student- centered classroom environment include burning more calories, using up excess energy, improving metabolism, increased motivation and engagement, creating a better oxygen flow to the brain, and improving core strength and overall posture. Students are also able to sit and learn in an environment that allows them to focus more easily. My goal is to add standing desks, flexible lap desks, and two types of versatile seating to my classroom environment.
