The Description

With these funds I will purchase instructional materials to be used within reading and math stations.  My students need practice opportunities to strengthen their understanding of difficult math concepts including addition and subtraction of fractions with like and unlike denominators, multiplication of fractions and mixed numbers, and division of unit fractions.  Students will select a problem card and solve the fractional problem.  Then using a classroom iPad, the requested Gripcase for the iPad, and the installed scanner app, students will scan the QR code on the card to check their answer.  When elements of technology can be integrated into instructional practice, students can experience additional engagement and motivation concerning the learning task.

Students will interact with technology amongst the reading station.  During our Patricia Polacco Author Study, students will scan their favorite Polacco book's QR code.  Then using the requested Sound Intone Headphones, the child will listen to the book and complete related comprehension and vocabulary activities pertaining to the chosen book.  The Gripcase Base allows a viewer the convenient option of propping up the iPad for easy viewing.

I would welcome the opportunity to purchase additional teacher made QR fractional practice activities along with additional teacher made Patricia Polacco QR activities.  I intend on purchasing these supportive materials from TeacherspayTeachers.com  I would like to purchase $150 worth of TpT gift cards.

The following materials will be purchased from Amazon.com

Gripcase for iPad Air 2; 1 x $35.99

Sound Intone Head Phones; 1 x $17.98

Back Up Plan
