With these funds I will be able to purchase new bookshelves and book bins for our expanding classroom reading corner. As you can see from the picture above, I have a hand-me-down shelf that is falling apart and much too small for our growing collection of books. I have books falling off of the shelves because it's so crowded and it's difficult for my students to find books in their reading level or interest because of the way that the bookshelf is set up. The students have to waste time looking for a book and never know the proper place to return it. I want to provide an organized way of searching for book by level, genre, author, etc. and a cheerful place for them to curl up with a good book and enjoy reading! We need two bookshelves and new book bins for our chapter and picture books.
