With these funds American Latino Center for Research, Education & Justice (ALCREJ) will use for the \"Let's Celebrate Grandparent's Day" to be held September 12 at Nueva Vida Apt. complex.

Nueva Vida is a senior citizen independent apartment complex for low-income seniors.  American Latino Center for Research, Education & Justice (ALCREJ) has served this community over the past 2 years.  Our most recent event was held early this summer.  ALCREJ hosted a healthy eating discussion which included lunch.  Many of these residents are alone so our visits to them are always very well welcomed and received.  As part of our reaching out to the community, we have decided to do something special for them with a celebration titled Let's Celebrate Grandparent's Day.

ALCREJ is a non-profit organization; therefore, we depend on the contributions, donations and volunteers to help with these types of events.

There are 60 residents living at Nueva Vida.  Our plans are to provide lunch, pampering and a gift.
