The Description

We are seeking $5,000 to support the operational needs for the Young Inventors Showcase as we conduct the preliminary competitions in March, 2018, followed by the finals in May, 2018. This is our 30th year! We have already held our first preliminary competition at Deepwater Elementary. We held two summer camps at Katy ISD and the University of Houston. Overall, we will have had over 500 young inventors competing to reach the finals on the third Saturday in May. We are uniquely positioned to greatly expand the Showcase participation this year, as we are reaching out to school districts all over the Houston region. We have talked to Beaumont ISD, as well as an international outreach through the Lamar University affiliate, www.tablet-academy.com. We are a 501(c)3, and are driven by a core of volunteers. These funds will allow us to more actively manage our expansion.

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal We will continue as a volunteer organization, as we have done for the past 30 years.
