Making Math More Meaningful

The Description

With these funds I will purchase a class set of iPads. As a child, I always loved math and technology; it is my hope to bring this joy to my students as well. The curriculum I am currently teaching is very collaborative and hands on. I want my students to experience the curriculum in relevant and exciting ways. As well as incorporate coding and promote creativity to develop the minds for careers that are yet to be thought of.

If we do not reach our goal I will purchase as many iPads as possible for my students to share.

I am a graduate of Virginia State University with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. I am a Thurgood Marshal College Fund TQRP fellow. I am currently about to start my fifth year teaching 6th grade math. I love math and being able to help student develop a love for it.
