Documentation is a critical component of the scientific experience. Unfortunately it is not the most exciting or engaging from the students’ perspective. That is why this year I want to help make my students’ science notebooks pop this year with LearnEd Notebooks. LearnEd Notebooks are designed to increase student participation as well as improve overall organization with each notebook containing labs, defined vocabulary, guided notes, writing assignments, and more.

I believe that science is a hands on subject, and there is no better way to communicate that then having students be able to create an engaging science notebook for themselves. The best part of my students being able to have all of this material in their notebook is that they will not have to worry about lugging a large science textbook with them when they study for unit tests and quizzes. This will allow them to see the importance of organizational skills and its pay off in the future.
