The Description

The STEM and Robotics Club in grades 3rd-6th are planning our very first field trip of the year. We would like to visit the Port Discovery located in Baltimore, MD. Port Discovery three floors of interactive, educational exhibits and ever-changing programs for children ages birth through 10. Our students are looking forward to:

Get healthy and fit in Kick It Up!
Splish splash in Wonders of Water
Shop and pump gas at the Royal Farms Convenience Store and Fill’er Up Station
Cook and serve food in Tiny’s Diner or climb and slide through KidWorks
and play in a 3-story urban tree house

Our students are a great bunch who work very hard on a daily basis. The students love to collaborate, share, and explore. It would be empowering for them to be able to visit Port Authority in Baltimore. Many of the students have not been outside of the city limits nor a local museum. This trip will broaden their horizons and show them that there is always something new to learn and achieve. The sky is the limit.

We are one big happy family. Our school is home to a large population of ELL students (92%) and is a Title I school. My students face many challenges while living in a new country and attempting to learn a new language. My goal is to make their transition as smooth as possible in hopes of preparing them for great achievement.

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal I will put the amount received on the bus balance to reduce the amount students will have to pay for the field trip.
