With these funds I will purchase a class set of tablets ($350 each; approx. 25 tablets) to assist students in their learning.

Technology in the classroom is one of the best learning tools. With classroom technology educators can get more students engaged, improve collaboration, and most importantly make learning fun.

Students are technology obsessed - but without learning how to use technology effectively, they are unable to fully immerse themselves in becoming 21st century learners.

These tablets will be used by my students to research information, collaborate on assignments, and create projects for a wide-reaching audience. These tablets will help prepare students for success in life after the classroom. Studies show that when students have access to technology, their overall academic achievement increases exponentially. My students will use the tablets daily to access readings, google classroom, and relevant educational aids (such as online dictionaries, thesauruses, and pronunciation tools). Utilizing the tablets to complete writing assignments will give students access to immediate feedback on grammar and spelling errors - so they can spend more time focusing on the quality of the information.
