Success Starts With Science

The Description

With these funds I will...purchase:

  1. $99 -- a good document camera that can record lessons and help students quickly and easily follow along (developing scientific literacy by annotating text and practicing note-taking skills)
  2. $200 -- durable classroom supplies (kinesthetic models, chalkboard paint for a wall, laminated signage (to make a dry-erase vocab wall, classroom expectations, track class performance)
  3. $150 -- expendable classroom (lined & unlined paper, poster paper, chart paper, markers, pens, pencils, dry erase markers, expo spray, rags, index cards, post-it notes)
  4. $90 -- miscellaneous expenses (materials for projects and presentations that students may not afford, organizers for classroom paperwork and materials, used tennis balls for desk feet, individual and class-wide rewards/incentives (recognition certificates, snacks, etc.)

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal I will purchase... expendable supplies as needed.

I will make do with outdated technology available through the school, and I will have to try to carve out some time to research and develop creative ways to make the content accessible to tactile learners (on top of lesson planning, lesson prep, and student support).
