Mid-Year Fundraiser

The Description

I have recently taken over one section of 6th grade math (all of my precious math teachers must be in disbelief) due to some staffing changes at school. I am still fulfilling my responsibilities as a Special Education teacher and IEP case manager with this new role. I would love to fundraise some money to provide my students with more fidget toys that calm them down while taking tests, have more supplies to use in my math classroom, and incentivize my new math class to work hard. I have also started purchasing notebooks for some of my students on my caseload to assist with positive coping skills! Please consider donating to help me support my students!

Back Up Plan

If I do not reach my goal I will purchase the supplies to help my caseload of students on my own and figure non-monetary ways to incentivize my new math students to work hard.

About the Creator

I am excited to be a part of the TFA family and join the movement to solve education inequity in this country and provide all students with a quality education. I'm fortunate enough to be selected from a nationwide talent applicant pool to join a teacher corps comprised of leaders who commit a minimum of two years to teach in high need public schools. This summer I will be participating in an intensive skill and knowledge development program aiming to increase student achievement as well as a comprehensive professional development program including seminars, discussion groups, workshops, and content and professional learning communities specific to teaching license areas. I can't wait for my first year with Teach for America.
