With these funds I will prepare students to be productive, competitive students. The students will be impacted from the materials being ordered in several ways: the caddies will help students develop, practice, and maintain organization skills. The wipeboards along with the markers will encourage student participation and help to make learning engaging. The Rekenrek will help students to think about math in a different way when it comes to the base-ten system. Students will learn how to solve problems using the base-ten system, which is similar to the way their peers overseas are solving math problems. The mathematicians with whom I will be work with this year deserve these materials because it will help them to hone their problem solving, critical thinking skills which are necessary for their matriculation to and through high school and college.
