With these funds, I will be able to purchase alternative seating options for my students. My current classroom is traditional in style and seating choice.  Students predominately work at desks and sit in standard chairs.  While collaboration takes place, it is hindered by classroom design. 

Flexible thinkers deserve flexible seating options. My students are diverse in their learning styles and thinking. Why then, should they all have to work in the same type of learning environment.  Many have trouble sitting in hard, straight chairs for seven+ hours a day.  I believe adding alternative workspaces would encourage my students to take more ownership of their learning.  Creating an environment with quality seating options would promote a higher level of student engagement.
