The Description
With these funds I will be attending high quality professional development in order to develop my skills and expand my ability to reach more learners. I am hoping to attend the one-day Educator Training at The Ron Clark Academy. This training experience includes observing master teachers, receiving focused professional guidance, and reflecting on how I can take this new knowledge back to my scholars. The training is in Atlanta, GA and my school will provide me with one day off per school year to dedicate to professional development. I'm hoping to receive funding to cover the registration fee and a small portion of the traveling fees. I will be able to stay with family to save money on lodging. My students deserve the very best and I continue to work on improving myself professionally so I can give my students my all!
Back Up Plan
If I do not meet my goal I will continue to purchase the everyday basic needs my students do not have access to. Every school year, I spend my personal money purchasing pencils, crayons, notebooks, lamination, printing ink, and any additional supplies needed to help my students learn. Our school provides me with a classroom and copy paper, but is unable to provide additional learning supplies to our special education resource rooms.
