With these funds I will... be purchasing a LeapTv gaming system along with educational games to be used as an additional resource when teaching letters, sounds, sights words, phonics, language, reading, math, science, social studies and social skills concepts.  My students learn much better through movement and through hands on activities.  Our school is in a high poverty area and we do not have the funds to purchase anything that is outside of the regular curriculum.  Unfortunately, I do not make enough money to purchase these items on top of the many items I have already purchased so far this school year.  My students deserve to have the extra resources available to them that will help them master the skills they need to have mastered by the end of the school year.  I have really had to change the way I do things this year because so many of my students had no preschool experience before coming to me.  These materials will be a fun and educational way for them to advance their skills!
