Hello! Thank you for visiting our fundraiser page. As some of you know, we have been diligently working on our academic and social skills for the past few months. We have had many adventures including visiting a petting zoo where we had the opportunity to meet some farm animals up close! Our students are truly excelling and accepting all challenges that come their way. We look forward to the rest of the school year and warmer weather :). 

As mention in our previous fundraiser, one important aspect of learning at a young age is the ability to make connections between academic material and real-life connections. Most students are naturals at this skill, however it always helps to have a couple of fun experiences planned throughout the year so that students can truly see how their learning can come to life. Luckily for us, the DMV offers a plethora of museums, parks, theaters, and so much more for new students to explore.

Unfortunately, the school's budget for field trips is quite low. We have already used our allocated funds and all of the funds raised in our last fundraiser! This money was enough for two field trips for the head start and preschool (special education) classrooms. Nine classrooms were able to go to the petting zoo and to a theater production. We're incredibly thankful and want to continue to push to provide the best experiences for our students. 

Our team is working to raise money for two more field trips for this year. We are planning to visit a nature center and a special outdoor playground for children of all needs. Any money donated will go directly to the cost of the field trips which includes but is not limited to: transportation costs, ticket payments, class lunches, and chaperone fees. It would be great to also be able to invite more parents to participate and not have them worry about any additional costs. 

Please keep in mind our programs directly impact low-income communities and students with special needs. Without the support of our community we would not be able to have these fun adventures.
