Ms.Cross Super Scholars Startup School Supplies

The Description

Hello Everyone!

In the next few weeks I will begin teaching in my very own classroom in Yazoo City, Mississippi. I am so excited to begin this journey that I have been preparing for since I graduated from Yazoo City High School in 2012.

As exciting as this time is, one huge hurdle that students in the Mississippi Delta and other high need regions around the US face is a lack of the necessary materials that they need daily. It is extremely difficult for students to take part in activities and classwork when they do not have basic supplies.

My goal is to make sure all of my students feel cared for, loved, safe, and supported in my classroom. I will use any funds that I raise to purchase the necessary supplies to ensure my students have a classroom that is stocked full of materials and supplies.

Here is a list of some of the materials that your generous investment will help provide for my students:

  • 2 Boxes of Paper (10 Reams) - $50
  • Kleenex (18 Pack) - $36
  • 2 Boxes of Pencils (288 Count) - $32
  • Chart Paper (2 Pack) - $27
  • Sticky notes (18 pack) - $8
  • 2 Packs of Dry Erase Markers (32 Count) - $22
  • Hand Sanitizer (Pack of 2) - $20
  • Crayons (125 bulk supply) -$15
  • Colored Pencils (125 bulk supply) -$25
  • Clorox Disinfecting Wipes (3 Pack) - $12
  • Pack of Highlighters (50 Count) - $10
  • Post-it Notes (24 pack) - $9
  • Folders (75) - $40
  • Binders (24) - $50
  • Rug - $50
  • Paper Towels (12 Rolls) - $28
  • 3 Packs of Erasers (36 Count) - $18
  • 2 Packs of Ballpoint Pens (48 Count) - $15
  • 3x5 Index Cards (10 Packs) - $12
  • Sharpie Chart Markers (8 Count) - $9
  • Sharpie Permanent Markers (12 Count) - $7
  • Paper Clips (Assorted 450 Count) - $6
  • Binder Clips (30 Count) - $3

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal, I will purchase as many materials as possible. I will prioritize the materials that are most essential to students (pencils, paper, etc.) as they are the most important to ensuring that students can participate in daily lessons.

My $5 isn't a lot, but I hope it can help you reach your goal. Good luck!
