With these funds I will attend the International Society of Technology in Education conference in Philadelphia.  As a teacher in the School District of Philadelphia, it's exciting to have such an important learning opportunity so close to home.  This event will allow me to meet with innovative educators from around the world and keep up with best practices in the field of educational technology.  As a local resident, I'm only seeking funding for registration for the event, and don't need any travel accommodations.

ISTE is the leading authority on how to integrate technology into our classrooms in meaningful and productive ways.  My summers are dedicated to professional development, and this is an incredibly important event that I won't likely have the ability to travel to in the future.

By attending this conference, I'll be increasing my own knowledge base and acquiring skills that I can bring back and share with other teachers in my school as I lead professional development throughout the coming year.
