With these funds I will purchase 12 fume extractors for use in my Electronics classes. When soldering, the rosin used to help the solder flow, burns and creates smoke. These smoke fumes are noxious and after a few minutes can begin to make people nauseous. I've been trying to use conventional fans to blow the fumes out the door, but this doesn't work very well as it still leaves the fumes and smoke in the classroom. These fume extractors I am intending to buy have activated charcoal filters that properly filter out the harmful particulates from the air instead of just blowing them around like a fan.
