Your support in this initiative will be used to build an educational library of award-winning tabletop games to hone high-level thinking, logic, and targeted Science, Mathematics, and Technology skills. These resources will enhance cooperative problem-solving skills and are student-selected from champion games.

My students are amazing, yet I struggle to provide an even economic playing field due to the disparity in education funding to support projects such as this.

Our school district is a highly diverse, low income, and high-need district. Approximately 72% of our students are eligible for free or reduced rate lunches and we service a 68% minority population. Due to economic concerns, many initiatives and resources are not available unless funded through the generosity of donors like you. All students deserve to experience a variety of different learning settings that will foster the development of skills beyond the traditional classroom.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) scholars rely on new and innovative thinking, learning, and processing skills in the process of creating, refining, and completing projects and tasks.

Through educational play, students develop these high level skills and are tasked to call upon this thinking and logic in a variety of situations. Funding would provide the means to begin curating an educational library of award-winning tabletop games. Each artifact collected in the library will be vetted based on the skills promoted through intellectual play. The current selection includes items that have been recognized for their innovation and merit including, but not limited to MENSA Select Awards, Parents' Choice Awards, and Gen Con EN World title holders and nominees.

Through this initiative, every student K-8 would have an opportunity to hone grade-appropriate, high-level thinking, logic, and targeted STEAM skills through the structured use of the project tabletop library.
