purchase two Social Studies Strategies books for our two eighth grade Social Studies teachers.  This book offers ideas for how to teach social studies topics in an interactive way.  For example, it provides demonstrations for debates, discussions, and simulations.  For many students, social studies is a boring topic that doesn't seem to relate to current events.  Using this book as a guide, students will learn how social studies topics changed the past and the future.  It will make history come alive and spark curiosity in our students.  Using Social Studies Strategies book will change our Social Studies curriculum for the better.

Our students want to learn, but sometimes motivation is lacking.  Using this book will help to increase student motivation.
