Empowering Multilingual Education

The Description

My name is Daniela Lopez and I was a low-income, first-generation college graduate. I believe in education and its transformational power. I also believe in the action of paying it forward, having been given great opportunity, which is why I am back in the classroom. I start teaching for the first time ever this fall at Dr. William Horton Elementary School - a public school in Newark, NJ, serving a low-income community. I am also transitioning back to New Jersey myself and would deeply appreciate any help in providing my kids with a beautiful learning environment and the quality education they deserve. Any donation will be deeply appreciated and used to purchase materials for my bilingual classroom. More specifically, these funds will go to buying classroom materials and supplies for each individual student as a way of alleviating the financial burden of back-to-school costs on my community's families, while preparing students for a successful year.

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal I will purchase...the most essential materials for each and every one of my students and the classroom to facilitate classroom productivity.
