The Description
At Lake Worth High School, wrestling is more than a sport. We are more than just a team we are a family. Besides teaching our wrestlers leadership and sportsmanship, we teach them to be there for one another, both on and off the mat. We teach them responsibility, discipline, and how to commit to something they are passionate about. Wrestling is important to us because we get to see each other succeed as a family, and we get to learn what it takes to be a champion. Our varsity wrestling team will be entered into 9 tournament some of which will include the Annual Kuntz Duals at Boca Raton High School and the Iron Cobra Tournament at Park Vista High School. Our junior varsity team will be entering two tournament at Seminole Ridge High School and at Park Vista High School. Each of these tournaments will cost around $275 to $325. With these funds I will be entering tournaments for our wrestling team to participate in State Competitions.
Back Up Plan
If we do not meet our goal we will use whatever funds we do receive to enter as many tournaments as we can. Such as the Iron Cobra tournament and the Annual Kuntz Dual. Then, we will save the remaining funds for next year so that we can build upon that foundation and continue to participate in tournaments.

Tournament Costs

Each tournament costs at least $250 with the most expensive one being $300. If we cannot get the funds for the tournaments, then we will not be able to attend them. For our new wrestlers, missing even one tournament means losing out on a valuable experience that would otherwise help to foster their growth and development in the sport.
