The Description

With these funds I will...purchase supplies and materials to support play-based learning in our five PreK-4 classrooms. This money will help our youngest learners learn through play. From dramatic and imaginative play, to story retelling with costumes and masks, and imaginative play with dolls that look like our students, supplies purchased will help our 4 year old scholars learn the way that kids learn best...through play!

Our students live in communities that are traditionally under served by the public education system. It is our mission to provide all students with the same world-class education that their higher-income peers receive in other parts of our city. In an education system that is so heavily influenced by standardized tests, pressure to read at a young age, and frequent assessments, we believe that students both learn and love to learn through intentionally designed play.

With the money we receive, we will purchase:

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal I will purchase...as many of the materials listed above as possible to share between the five PreK-4 classrooms.

I am so excited to announce that my project received almost $60! With the funds received, I plan to purchase two sets of the Mommy Please pretend food kits, to be used exclusively in our PK4 classrooms to enhance our play-based learning program. Thank you so much to all who donated, I am so excited to share our new materials with students and teachers.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Stephenson

I am a parent of a pre k 3 and I love the work that the school does with the teachers, parents, and students. My daughter loves her class and school and I am looking toward for my son to start next year! My daughter already says " I'm college bound" and she's only 3. She loves what she learns and comes home and teaches my son who is excited to learn also. I love this school thank you Kipp Dream!!!!!
