Marjory Stoneman Douglas is a public high school in Parkland Florida.

As a valued member of the community, you understand the vital role that athletics play in bringing the school together. You may also know in 2016, after bringing home a state championship trophy, our baseball team was named National Champions by Baseball America. Our softball team advanced to the state championships. These victories were a direct result of the hard work of our student athletes, and are tremendous accomplishments when you consider that the teams practice and play on fields that cannot be used in the evenings. Events such as baseball and softball games invite students and their families to gather in support of each other, and foster passion and pride in our local community. Despite the success of our athletic programs, these events have been cut short for years because of a lack of lights on the fields.

With this in mind, we hope that our community of partners, families, alumni, and friends will join together to support the latest chapter in the Stoneman Douglas story - a campaign to put LIGHTS ON MSD. We have an unprecedented opportunity to design and install new lighting systems that will improve the experience and safety of athletes and spectators, and dramatically enhance the communal atmosphere of athletic events.
