Hi there! My students and I are on PledgeCents because we need your help.

In my years of teaching, I’ve realized that engagement and achievement increase when my students’ interests and voices are respected and reflected in the classroom. And that’s what I really want to hit home with my students this year.

This is why I need your help getting Flocabulary Lite. Flocabulary uses hip hop to engage students in their learning with hundreds of standards aligned videos.

Many students feel disengaged with the current curriculum and the way that it is taught. It seems not to be relevant for them and oftentimes they can’t relate to the content. What I really appreciate about Flocabulary is that it’s use of hip hop really helps bridge this gap, engaging even the most disenchanted students. For only $120 per year, I will have access to Flocabulary’s entire library on topics ranging from Sacagawea to creating empathy in the classroom.

At our school we are lucky to have access to more devices than ever before. With your support, I will be able to give these students, the future of our country, the quality of education and engagement they deserve.
