Common Meeting Area

The Description

With these funds I will purchase an area rug to put in the front of the classroom to serve as a common meeting area.  We will use this for Morning Meetings, small group work, and any other activity that leads itself to sitting as a group.  Currently the students sit on the regular carpet but have no boundries as to where to sit.  I have to constantly remind them to sit closer to the board or area that we are focused on.  An area rug will help set those boundries and students will know where to sit. It will also create a community enviornment within the classroom.  We will all be able to sit in a defined space and be able to have our meetings without taking the time to get everyone in a place to be able to see and hear everyone.  It will simply be to go to a certain spot on the area rug.

Here is a link for where I would possibly purchase one of these rugs!

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal I will purchase supplies for the classroom that we will be using everyday.  These items will include pencils, glue, crayons, etc. We go through these everyday items very quickly.  We don't always have the funds to go to the store and get more when they are needed.

Fundraiser Updates (1)

Need more money

March 4, 2015

We raised some money but not enough to purchase the common area rug for the classroom.  The money will be used to purchase everyday school supplies for the classroom.  Thank you to those of you that invested in the education of our future!
