The Description

Every year there is a struggle with differentiation. Every one of my students has different strengths and weaknesses in every subject. This year I want to ensure that every student is being met at their level.

With ScootPad students will go through 8 research-backed steps that makes sure that mastery has been achieved at the end. This will allow differentiation to occur for every student while also enabling them to meaningfully engage with the technology that is available to us.

All of these amazing features will be available to my students through your generous investments. Every dollar brings us one step closer to having ScootPad in our classroom this year.

Here is the breakdown in cost for fundraising for Scootpad

  • Site License (x10) - $59.70
  • Preferred Partner Program - $7.28
  • PledgeCents Platform Fee - $3.64
  • Payment Processing Fee - $2.18
  • Total - $73.00 (rounded up to the nearest dollar)

Back Up Plan

If I do not meet my goal I will apply all donated funds towards one of my other PledgeCents projects to support the needs of my classroom.  We are in great need of curriculum and classroom materials for all subject areas.

About the Creator

I am a special education teacher in North Carolina. I teach 9 boys diagnosed with Autism. I have a 10 year old son diagnosed with ADD, speech delay and he is selectively mute. I teach in a Title 1 school and have severely limited resources and funds to obtain resources that are greatly needed in my class. Last year I was trained for 8 months to become a service dog handler from Paws 4 People. I was able to bring my service dog, Magnolia, to school with me daily. Magnolia helps my students in many areas. Socially, communication, educationally, sensory, are just a few areas that she has been able to positively impact our school community. I also started a Special Education Parent Teacher Organization in my school. My vision for this group is to provide education, and resources to families and teachers of children with special needs. To be able to give teachers in the general education classroom resources and training in order to provide better service to their children and offering them a better chance of a successful educational experience. I am always looking for research based methods to teach children with special needs. I am always looking for better ways to incorporate parents and families into the education of our students. The funds received will be used for these reasons. To provide proper instructional material for our students, to provide training for parents and teachers, to provide more educational/social activities that include all students.
