It Takes A Village!

The Description
With these funds, I will seek to fight the battle of ending educational inequity in the Houston region as an educator. Education is the most powerful weapon one can use to change the world. The words were stated by Nelson Mandela and help guide me in this work each and every day! I am excited to do this work but I know that it continues to take a village to end this war of educational inequity! As I begin this work, I need some help with classroom set-up, books, and supplies. I believe that this work takes a community therefore, I hope to bring each of you with me to my classroom culture as together we can do this.
For the next phase in my life, I will be starting the journey as a 6th-grade reading teacher at KIPP Courage at Landrum Middle School. KIPP Courage, a public-charter school help provides students with engaging in a rigorous curriculum of academics, arts, and athletics. That said, it takes a strong individual to serve in this capacity and also the resources to foster student learning. I'd hope to use these funds to provide students with an enriching and fulfill experience inside of the classroom.
Your sponsorship will not only foster an enriching and fulfilling learning environment but it will be the start of something greater in the Houston Region. I am thankful because I know that the Best is yet to come in Mr. Dubose's 6th reading Class.
Thank you in advance! Please contact me if you have any comments, questions or concerns!
