Content: Seeing my students develop a passion for reading is one of the best parts of my work as a teacher. Once a student finds a book that they connect with they light up and want to talk about it with friends, family, and me. A critical part in developing that passion is ensuring that every students has access to quality materials that are on their level. If a book is too easy or too challenging it becomes more of a chore than a journey to get through the text. That is why I want to provide my students with high quality texts through ABDO. With ABDO I will be able to continuously build a robust collection of physical and digital texts that my students will be able to access via tablets or computers. I can select specific texts from ABDO’s database that way there will be options for my different levels of readers. This is an amazing opportunity to provide high quality reading options for my students.
