With these funds I will...be purchasing items for my classroom for the 2018-2019 school year. This money will help support Western High School students to ensure that they have the supplies they need to be successful in and out of the classroom. Nevada is ranked 50th in the country for education with Clark County school district being one of the biggest school districts in the nation. Sadly, most of my students are qualified to receive free lunch, come from low income families, and have scored a 2/10 for college readiness. These students are some of the most hardworking, compassionate, talented, and bright people I have ever met and they deserve the basic resources such as paper, pencils, and folders that many of us take for granted. If you could take the time ANY donation would be helpful. If you would like to instead write a card to send to my class that would be very appreciated as well.
