With these funds I will be providing my students with intense, one-to-one reading instruction.  The funds will be used to purchase Birch wood and metal attachments to have a carpenter build a table that will help hold small group reading lessons. My goal is to facilitate small groups in class in order to help reach students at their level. When you look in the classroom, and desks are moving all over the place, having a space that is united in a circle will help foster the small group atmosphere and encourage cooperative learning.  I am requesting to build a table in the semi-circle shape that will seat students together, with the teacher in the center, and accessible to all for assistance while they grapple with reading texts of all levels.  My students deserve these resources because they are working twice as hard to have twice the growth! They are starting out 3 or more levels below grade-level reading.  They know it is hard, and they are all for it!
