The Description
My students love to watch my 3D printer in action. Unfortunately, it is old and in need of repairs. My school district cannot afford the repairs needed, so my students now have very limited access to the 3D printer. I'm teaching them to use online CAD programs such as tinkercad and SketchUp, and they absolutely love it! However, with only 1 semi-functional 3D printer, most of their projects cannot actually be printed.
With an Idea Builder my students can interact with technology in a way that they have not been able to up to this point. Students are able to create, problem solve, and become more active learners as they are introduced to 3D printing. As a part of project based learning 3D printing allows the solutions that students design to come to life and be held, tested, and examined.
My students deserve this awesome technology that will help them be successful not only this year but also build the foundation for success in the future.
