With these funds I will...purchase 2 iPad Minis with cases and books to add to my classroom library. My students will use the iPads during small group time and workstations. These iPads will be used to allow students to research, practice skills, read books, and much more. My classroom also needs more books in our classroom at various levels. In my fourth grade class I have students as low as a first grade level all the way to on or slightly above grade level. This requires having lots of books at different levels and different interests for my students. I plan to use their Reading Interest Inventory to purchase books on topics they like, as well as using the data on their reading level to ensure that students have new and exciting books that are on their independent reading level.

My students deserve these materials because they are motivated by technology and many of them don't have access to technology at home. Each iPad Mini costs $279 with the educator discount. I plan to buy $15 cases on Amazon to ensure they can be protected and used for several years. With the remaining money I will purchase new books for my classroom library. These books will give students more options of books to read, so they can continue to move closer to be reading on grade level! Instilling these good habits now will allow these students to have more opportunities to be prepared and motivated to go to college! Thank you for your support :)
