Hello! This fall, I will be starting a position teaching 7th grade math at Will Rogers Jr. High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma through Teach for America. Teach for America is an organization that seeks to place corps members in underprivileged schools across America, including Rogers High, where 83% of students qualify for free or reduced lunches. Most recently, the state of Oklahoma ranked 47th in spending per pupil in their public school system, an issue that not only greatly affects Rogers, but plagues education throughout the entire state. Chronic inadequate funding has left Oklahoma schools understaffed and without sufficient resources for teachers and students. 

Using the money that you (hopefully) donate, I plan to purchase supplies for my classroom to ensure students have the resources necessary to succeed. I will be purchasing paper (grid, chart, printer), calculators, pens and pencils, pencil erasers, sharpeners, individual whiteboards, markers, highlighters, grading pens, a broom and dustpan, hand sanitizer, tissues, and much more! I anticipate having more than 150 students coming through my classroom a day, so these funds will impact many students who need your help! 

Every dollar you donate will go towards stocking my classroom. Any amount you are able to donate is welcome, myself and the kids will surely appreciate it!
