purchase items that celebrate our students.  A child's birthday brings a sense of pride a joy to every child.  At Shreve Island, we try to celebrate this special day by giving each child a sticker and a pencil for their birthday.  While seeing the joy on the child's face it worth it, with over 700 students, this is an expensive endeavor.  We also celebrate each tooth that is lost at school by giving each child a tooth treasure box.  These treasure boxes are another way our students have an opportunity to feel special.

Our students are hard-working and special in every way.  We want them to see themselves as we (the teachers) see them.
