The Description

With these funds I will... be able to buy 15 Spanish/English dictionaries ($10 each), Spanish/English novels ($100 total) such as "A Child Called It" and "13 Reasons Why" along with the first session of Rosetta stone ($250). Our school received an influx of Spanish ELL's ( English Language Learners) this year. Many teachers including myself were given an ELL class who have never taught this class before and we don’t have the resources we need. Imagine not speaking the home language and your teacher does not speak your language at all. My teachers and I need resources not only to help our students learn English but to help them feel more confident in their studies.

Back Up Plan

If we don't reach our entire goal we will... get as many resources as we can :)

My name is Mrs. Devivo and I teach Reading and dance at a high poverty school. My students are grades 9-12 trying to graduate and make a difference in the world they live in. My dance team is in its 1st year and already we are ready to compete. My day job is teaching Reading. Most of my students are reading below grade level. My job is to get them ready for the state test so that they can graduate high school.
