Dreamchasers Studio for Music Production!

The Description

We are raising funds for a mini-recording studio for students. Next STEP High is a collaborative school grounded in the mission and values of Tree Street Youth and Lewiston High School. Most of the students we serve are off-track to meet their graduation requirements and are seeking a non-traditional setting to achieve their dreams.

We plan on using the "Dreamchasers Studio" to help students cultivate their sense of personal identity, to challenge them to be entrepreneurial in pursuit of learning credit bearing standards, and to develop creative and collaborative projects that bring together the Lewiston community.

We are building this studio with a very lean budget, and students will continue to develop the space over time as they become experts in music production and recording. We plan to raise enough funds to buy a mic and mic stand, music production software, speakers, sound-proofing fabric, and headphones.

Back Up Plan

If we do not reach our goal we will purchase a microphone and mic stand and soundproofing fabric, so we can create a small space for students to record vocals, spoken word poetry, raps, and more.
