The Description

With these funds Our Young Inventors Association of America will launch Phase One of our global, virtual roll-out of the Young Inventors Showcase. This Phase One will involve reaching back to our YIS winners from prior years and build a landing page within www.yiaa.org. In partnership with www.startupclub.biz, we will empower the young inventor and his parents to "take the idea to market". There will be two tracks: 1.Licensing, and 2. Venture launch.

Here is the global roll-out detail:

I've been running YIS as a "boots on the ground" program here in Houston for 32 years.
After the virus shutdown, my team moved the entire program to the virtual world. See: www.yiaa.org.
My intent is to launch it as a global, virtual program..
One year ago, the Houston Chronicle honored me as a Houston Hero:
My plan is to have the invention pipeline feed an incubator. I will partner with an existing incubator, www.startupclub.biz.
Here are the historical stats:
Every year, we have about 2,500 young inventors, from first grade through the 8th grade, invent. About 20 science teachers from about a dozen school districts in the Greater Houston area use our curriculum, see attached (now converted to an online program guide), to teach kids how to invent. They then invent, and we have preliminary judging in March. The finals, with about 60-70 kids, are held the third Saturday in May. Every year, every single finalist has one of three commercially viable elements: 1. The invention, 2. Their presentation skills make them perfect product spokespeople, as the teachers teach them how to present as well as how to invent, or 3. They have a killer product name that is trademarkable.
